All types of drinks which have sugar and other spices mixed in them are explained here.

All drinks pacify thirst and brings satisfactoin. They cure fever. They are good to increase digestive fire and cure constipation.

The water boiled with roasted barley is called Vilepi. It is beneficial for the body. It is light and tasty and cures the fever.

Those who have not eaten for a long time. Or those who had had diarrhea recently for them rice's water or soup is the best.

In case of dry mouth and excessive thirst. A person must drink water boiled with murmurey.

After vomiting and diarrhea one must consume juice of bitter promegranate, dry ginger and peepal . This pacifies thirst and holds the stool. It increases digestive fire.

Properly boiled rice's soup is benefical. It is light. It is called as Odanaa. It is beneficial in Kapha diseases.

Half cooked rice is heavy .

Pulaav a dish prepared with meat, vegetables, ghee and fruits is strengthening, tasty and muscle builder.

Khichdi made from green pulses, urada pulses and rice have the similar benifits.

soups have benefits according to what material it is made from, for example green pulse, rice etc.

Aakrit soups are the soups that do not have any spice or salt in them. Krita soups have some spice mixed in them.

To cook soup you can boil the food in water and filter it before consumption.

Soup of roasted barley, wheat and rice are laxatives. Sattu's soup gives instant energy to the body.

Shali rice's soup aids in digestion and is sweet and ties up the stool. It cures fever and vomiting.

barley soup is beneficial in common cold, cough, diabetes and throat infections.

Things that is cooked with oil like Baati, puey, and poori are heavy and takes time to digest.

Soup made with milk or sugarcane juice are heavy and increase semen.

Dishes made with milk, jaggery, honey and sugar increase semen and strength of the body.

Wheat with ghee is always beneficial and provides strength and increase semen.

The pulses and lentils are dry and light. they must be eaten after mixing some oils and ghee.

The dishes that are cooked on slow fire are heavy and not easily digestable.

Shrikhanda a gujarati dish increases muscle, strength. It is very tasty and oily.

Curd mixed with Jaggery pacifies vata and nourishes the body.

After mixing differnet type of spices in these their qualities change.

Unripe mango, amla and its paste is oily and heavy. they increase strength and semen.

Sirka increases acidity and pitta.

Cooking category:
The materials used to cook and roast the food to change its form and qualities are under this category. Oils and spices that are used in cooking are some example of things used in this category.

There is some introduction to different types here. This list is not complete though.

Sesame oil
spreads well all through out the body. It is warm and ties up the urine and stool. It increases pitta but not kapha. It decreases Vata. It is good for skin and increases strength. It can in combination with other herbs can cure almost all ailments. It is very beneficial for the skin.

In ancient times devils used oils to become young and free from any ailment. They were very strong.

Castor oil
is sweet, heavy and increases kapha. It is beneficial in Vata disorders, spleen, heart and old fevers. It is popular as a laxative.

Sunflower oil is spicy, warm and pollutes the blood and pitta. It pacifies kapha, vaata, itching and epilepsy.

Linseed oil
is sweet, acidic, warm and beneficial in vata and pitta disorders.

Dry ginger
is smooth and warm. It increases semen, reduces vata and kapha and good for the heart. It creates interest in the food.

Wet Peepal increases kapha, it is heavy and and smooth. Dry peepal reduces kapha and is spicy, warm and increases semen.

Black spice is not too hot. It is light and makes the food tasty. It increases appetitte and pacifies vata and kapha.

it breaks the blockages of vata and kapha. In other words it stops bloating and melts the cough. It is sour and warm. It increases digestive fire and helps in digestion.

Saindha namak
Makes the good tasteer. It increases appetite and semen it is good for eyes and pacifies all the three doshas. It is the best amongst all types of salt.

Saunchal salt is warm and light. It has a good smell. It is tasty and good for heart. It prevents burping and mouth odour.

Vinda salt is spicy and warm increases appetite and cures inflammation. It makes the air move inside the stomach. It prevents bloating.

REha salt is spicy and tart in taste. It creates moisture in the body.

Black salt is like saunchal salt. But it does not have any smell.

Sea salt is sour.

All salts are tasty, helps in digestion and balances air.

Yavakshar is beneficial for heart, jaundice, constipation, sleep, indigestion, cough and piles.

Kaala jeera, dana methi, jeera, ajvain, dhaniya are tasty and increase digestive fire. They destroy bad odour.
